Thailand
Thailand is situated in the heart of mainland Southeast Asia, surrounded by Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, and Burma. The seasonally barren northeast area of Thailand is the poorest; this is the area that borders Myanmar (Burma). Thailand welcomes refugees and migrants that are in need of help. Many migrants come from the south-west and south-central areas of China known as hill tribe people. Internally displaced persons and Burmese refugees continue to increase along the Thai-Burma border.
What would you do if all your basic rights were suppressed; if you were a suffering migrant, or living in the worst of inhumane poverty? There is great concern and need for concentrated volunteer efforts on the northern borders of Thailand.
I ask for your support.
